Directions
Open doors and add your circus style entertainers with appropriate lighting and
décor. Immediately add alcohol. Slowly warm for 30 minutes. This encourages
conversation and proper mixing of guests.
After 30 minutes add visual and auditory stimulation. Let these ingredients
simmer for 60 minutes. This will encourage guests to relax, mingle and
eventually dance. Guest's body temperature will begin to rise at this time.
Add alcohol to taste.
After 60 minutes add photographers and videographer. Introducing these
ingredients any sooner may cause them to go sour since guests may not be
ready to mix well with them.
Dancing may start as toe tapping while the party simmers, that is what you want.
If you bring the party to a boil too quickly the ingredients won't mix well.
Once your variety entertainment is completed immediately add in the awesome
80s dance videos.
Add alcohol to taste.
The dance videos will increase dancing and social interaction. The party will
should now be at a low boil. At this time guests' heart rate will increase and their
skin may become flush from all the excitement.
Continue at low boil for 90 minutes.
Add alcohol to taste. Be careful, too much alcohol can distract from the party and
diminish your guest's pleasure.
After 90 minutes at this low boil add the funkiest band in the land and bring the
event to a full boil.
At this point guests will be fully stimulated, dancing should reach a feverish pitch.
This will increase body temperature and heart rate. Guests will breathing may
become labored from intense dancing.
After 45 minutes slow the boil to a simmer and announce the King and Queen of
Mardi Gras. This keeps the party going, you don't want it to end to soon.
After this brief period of rest your guests should be ready to dance some more.
Reintroduce band and let the party peak with band's final set and a surprise.
After final set thank guests for coming and remind them to join the volunteer
efforts in New Orleans.
